After lengthy discussions, it seems that Chania Town Council have finally agreed to offer some help towards financing the opening of the new shelter. Amazing!

1st October

A new appeal has been sent out to all Noah's Ark/Action for Animals supporters to raise money for the imminent change of location. Huge thanks to those who have already sent in donations. We have already sent a cheque out to Crete for £1000!

20th September

There is now an Information Centre/Charity Shop in Chania for anyone interested in finding out more about Noah's Ark while in Crete. It is manned by Elleni, who speaks several languages and can therefore answer most queries. Visitors to the island are also using the centre as a place to take stray animals before they are transferred to Noah's Ark, so as you can imagine, it's a pretty busy place!If you would like to visit the centre,you can find it at Daskalogianni 35.

Suitable land - around the Soudha Bay area of Crete - has finally been found for the new shelter!
