LONG AWAITED NEWS FROM NOAH'S ARK

After much campaigning and many court appearances Silke Wrobel of Noah's Ark has managed to obtain a further extension on the current location of the shelter. Noah's ark has thankfully been granted permission to stay in situ until the end of 2001. After that time, new premises must be found. Action for Animals and Silke would like to sincerely thank everyone who campaigned on behalf of the shelter. We look forward to your continued and much needed support. Without your help Noah's Ark would no longer exist. On behalf of all the animals, we thank you.

Noah's Ark Future In Jeapordy

I have just received news from Silke Wrobel of Noah's Ark, that the negotiation's that were going ahead for the new shelter appear to have broken down between Noah's Ark and the Akrotiri and Chania authorities.

The future of the animal shelter is once again seriously threatened.

If you would like to help to convince the authorities in Crete of the importance of Noah's Ark and of the need to support the animal shelter, you can write to:

Kryrie Dimarche Akrotiriou

(mayor of the community of Akrotiri)

in Chania, Crete.
